"Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” Jeremiah 33:3 (NIV)
Consider the first seven words of this verse: “Call to me and I will answer you.” That might not seem a remarkable thing to those of us who live in the world of “instant everything.”
We typically live with expectation that we should be able to reach people and hear back from them instantly. The globally interconnected technologies make it seem reasonable for this to happen anywhere in the world at any time.
But I want you to think about who it is speaking in this verse.
This is the One who created everything. This is the One who has some eight billion people on His radar screen every single moment of every single day.
And He will answer you when you call Him.
According to Scripture, He longs for you to call to Him (Isaiah 30:18), and He delights in You to come to Him. He offers so many blessings when we do call to Him.
Just sit with that today. The God of the Universe is available to you, listening to you, enjoying you 24/7, 365 days a year. Stunning.
